Centennial Pool closes for the season on August 16th
Central Pool will remain open until Labor Day. Memorial Pool will remain open until August 21st.
Central Pool Hours: M-F 7-9 a.m. (early bird swim) and 4-8 p.m. (open swim) , Sat-Sun 12-5 p.m. (open swim), (Labor Day) 12-5 p.m.
Memorial Pool: M-F 10:30-2:30 p.m.

• Before & After School With FLASH – Registration is under way for the new before and after school program created by School District 123 & the Oak Lawn Park District - FLASH. Flash is dedicated to providing safe, healthy, fun and recreational opportunities to all children during the program. The program will begin August 25, 2009. • New Playground - Please join the Oak Lawn Park District Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, September 2 for the dedication of the new playground at Lake Shore Park (9601 E. East Shore Dr.) The ceremony will begin at 6 pm and will be immediately followed by a complimentary juice and cookie reception at the park. • Casting Call: The Producers auditions to be held in Oak Lawn - The Oak Lawn Park District Theatre group has announced a casting call for its upcoming production of The Producers. Auditions will be held Sunday, September 13 from 1 – 5 pm and Monday, September 14 at 7:30pm. Come in proper attire and be prepared to sing a song from the show. Auditions will be held at the Oak View Center, 4625 W. 110th Street and are open to those in high school (with proper ID) & older. The Producers will run for two consecutive weekends, November 13 – 15 and November 20 – 22.

• Preschool Registration - Registration is underway for the Oak Lawn Park District’s 2009/2010 preschool programs. The park district offers affordable, quality preschool classes for 3- to 5-year-olds. The preschool programs—Learn As You Grow I, Learn As You Grow II, Play School and Prep School—are offered at the Oak View Center (4625 W. 110th St.) and the Little White Building in Lake Shore Park (96th Street and East Shore Drive) and are taught by qualified instructors. Fee for preschool programs for 3 year olds is $670 Oak Lawn residents and $752 for non-residents. Fee for preschool programs for 4 year olds is $1000 Oak Lawn residents and $1124 for non-residents. • Youth Indoor Soccer Draft League - The Oak Lawn Park District is taking registrations for the Youth Indoor Soccer Draft League. This league is open to girls and boys ages 6-13. Teams will begin practicing December 12 and games will begin in January. Game times will vary. Age divisions are determined by the child’s age as of September 1, 2009. Early Bird registration runs through November 14. Early Bird fee is $69 for Oak Lawn residents and $95 for non-residents. General Registration runs November 15 – 21. General Registration fee is $79 for Oak Lawn residents and $105 for non-residents. Late fees apply after November 22. Late registration fee is $89 for Oak Lawn residents and $115 for non-residents.
